Joe Meek's Hilarious Homily to Dave and Dee

I've had bootlegs of these knocking around for a while, and they really are essential to the Meek obsessive. (I'm probably not quite an obsessive. Maybe a connoisseur.)
But if you haven't heard (or don't love) the Message To Dave And Dee (of Dave, Dee, Dozy, Beaky Mick and Tich), you can't be my friend. And that's final.

Here's how they put it at the FMA:
As these, er, remarkable songwriting demos show, Meek had a definite ear for a catchy tune. He could also create simple, clever turns of pop-song phrase. Unlike, say, Carole King or Burt Bacharach, however, Joe couldn't convey his songs in a clean, clear, easy-to-get manner.
